Description	:	Robert (Bob) Wayne Ostercamp, age 89, of Kesley, Iowa, was born the son of Bauko "Buck" and Katherine (Husinga) Ostercamp, on May 6, 1926, at their home south of Aplington, Iowa. Bob was president of his senior class and graduated in 1944 from Aplington High School. Bob served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. While in service, Bob was united in marriage with Willa Mae Gist in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, on August 19, 1950. After being honorably discharged in 1951, Bob began farming north of Kesley. Bob was president of his senior class and graduated in 1944 from Aplington High School. Bob served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. He also raised cattle, hogs, chickens and sheep. Bob retired in 2010, and they moved off the farm and into Kesley. Bob was a member of the Aplington Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and he also was an officer for Association for Retarded Children. Bob was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and the St. Louis Cardinals. Bob enjoyed duck hunting and trapping, but his favorite pastime was fishing. Bob died Saturday, September 19, 2015, at his home of natural causes. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jim Ostercamp; two brothers, Lester and Clarence Ostercamp and one sister, Alice Harms. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015, at the Aplington Baptist Church, with burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery both in Aplington.
