Description	:	Robert Wayne Thompson, Jr. was born to Robert Sr. and Lawella "Lou" Thompson on February 22, 1948 in Sioux Falls, SD. Robert joined older brothers Harley and Larry and stayed in Sioux Falls until graduating from Lincoln High School. Robert then attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion and attained a Bachelor's Degree in Government in 1970. Robert joined older brothers Harley and Larry and stayed in Sioux Falls until graduating from Lincoln High School. Robert then attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion and attained a Bachelor's Degree in Government in 1970. Robert lived in Bismarck, ND, Kansas City, MO, and Reno, NV before settling in Denver where he attended the University of Colorado and attained a Master's Degree in Urban Administration in 1976. Robert met Julie in Denver in 1975 and the two were married on August 27, 1976 in Georgetown, CO. Their daughter Huette was born in Denver on December 21, 1976. Robert and his family moved to Louisville, KY in 1979 where he enrolled in Law School at the University of Louisville. The family returned to Denver in 1981 where Robert completed Law School at the University of Denver. He attained his Juris Doctorate in December 1983 and passed the Bar Exam in 1984. Robert worked as an independent Attorney at Law for several years and became an Administrative Law Judge from 1992 until 2006. Robert and his family moved to Aurora, CO in 1997 where he spent several years on the city's Cultural Affairs and Arts Committee. Robert was also a proud member of the State Personnel Board from 2007 until 2010. A writer at heart, Robert produced many poems, short stories, and essays. His memoir, As Sweet as it Gets was published in 2002. Robert was most recently writing about his love of baseball in a book to be titled, Me, My Dad, and Stan Musial. Robert passed away in Aurora, CO on August 10, 2010. He is survived by his wife Julie, daughter Huette, mother Lou, brother Harley and his wife Elaine and their family.
