Description	:	Bob (Bill) Kautz, 64, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother passed away at home Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born Oct. 19, 1936, to Henry and Marie kautz. He grew up in Laurel and graduated from Laurel High School in 1955. He then joined the Army and was sent overseas to Germany, where he met and married Doris Otto, his wife of 44 years. Read More	Bob (Bill) Kautz, 64, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother passed away at home Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born Oct. 19, 1936, to Henry and Marie kautz. He grew up in Laurel and graduated from Laurel High School in 1955. He then joined the Army and was sent overseas to Germany, where he met and married Doris Otto, his wife of 44 years. After returning from overseas, Bob worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad for three years. He then went to work for US West Telephone Company where he worked until retirement in 1993. Bob was a past master of Helena Lodge No. 3 A.F.& A.M., and a member of Helena Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Algeria Shrine Temple and the Royal Order of Jesters, Court #5. Bob's biggest interest was building homes. He built numerous homes in the Helena area. He also enjoyed his computer and working with electronics. He is survived by his wife Doris; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Patty Kautz of Montana City; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Chad Cundiff of Kansas City, Kan; father, Henry Kautz of Laurel, brother Don Kautz of Vancouver, Wash.; brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Gail Kautz of Laurel; his grandchildren, who were the light of his life, Dustin Harris, Danielle and Dylan Kautz and Madison and Taylor Cundiff; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Marie and brother Gary. Bill will be truly missed by all who knew him. His willingness to help others, his great sense of humor and his kindness will live on in the lives of those he touched. A man with a sincerely gentle heart, he will never be forgotten.
