Description	:	The funeral for Robert W. "Bob" Kruger will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Riceville, Iowa, with the Rev. Michael Parris officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Riceville. Mr. Kruger, 101, of Riceville, died Monday (June 2, 2008) at the Riceville Family Care and Therapy Center. Robert William Kruger was born July 7, 1906, on the family farm. He attended rural Mitchell County (Iowa) schools. On Feb. 23, 1935, he married Helen Margaret Zobeck. Mr. Kruger, 101, of Riceville, died Monday (June 2, 2008) at the Riceville Family Care and Therapy Center. Robert William Kruger was born July 7, 1906, on the family farm. He attended rural Mitchell County (Iowa) schools. On Feb. 23, 1935, he married Helen Margaret Zobeck. Mr. Kruger farmed until 1964, then ran his own gas trucking business until retiring in 1971. Survivors include two sons, Duane "Dewey" (Betty) of Northwood, Iowa, and Gary (Susan) of Rochester; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, June Roethler of Riceville. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2007; a son, Ronald; a brother, Marvin; and a sister, Evelyn Buchholz. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville, and an hour before the service Friday at the church.
