Father Brian Simon, Father James P. Morgan and Father Charles Emezie will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements. There will be a liturgical wake service 7 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2005, at the mortuary. Robert passed away Thursday, May 26, 2005, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen. Robert William Lindner was born June 3, 1926, to Peter P. and Louise (Dummer) Lindner at Watertown, S.D. At a young age, he moved with his family to Waverly, S.D., where he attended Waverly Public Schools. Robert married Phyllis Brandriet June 9, 1948, at Watertown. Robert started working for the Park Grant Company, which later became the Nash Finch Company. In 1965, he was transferred to Aberdeen. He continued working for the Nash Finch Company and became the manager of the Prairie Market Store in Aberdeen. Robert retired after 50 years of employment with the company. Robert was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he volunteered much of his time, especially for the annual church bazaar. He was a member of the Aberdeen Moose Lodge and Pheasants Forever. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving Robert is his wife, Phyllis of Aberdeen; one son, Ron Lindner of Aberdeen; six daughters, Julie (Bob) Lyke of Aberdeen, Pam Lindner of Aberdeen, Pat (Gerald) Helm of Aberdeen, Debbie (John) Eye of Britton, Linda Jo (Mark) Van Dover of Westport and Lisa Lindner of Westport; three brothers, Darrell Lindner of Sioux Falls, Clifford (Pat) Lindner of Hayti, S.D., and Edward Lindner of Watertown; three sisters, Leona (Leslie) Cordell of Eugene, Ore., Dorothy Ostrander of Watertown, S.D., and Ethel (Alton) True of Loveland, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Don Lindner and Pete Lindner and one sister, Evelyn Klucas. Pallbearers will be Robert's grandchildren, Christopher Eye, Michelle Eye, Jennifer Eye, Michael Helm, Kristie Harger, Justin Lindner, Chad Lyke, Eric Lyke, Rob Lyke, Tracy Lyke, Tara Lyke and Charleen Marek.
