Description	:	Robert Elwood, 26, Dies Friday; Rites Monday Funeral services for Robert Elwood, 26, who died Friday, April 21 at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha, were conducted Monday afternoon at the Creighton Methodist church. The Rev. David T. Gustafson, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Elwood has been ill for about six months. Robert William Elwood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Elwood Sr., was born Sept 4, 1934 at Creighton. He attended Plainview High School and served in the Armed Forces from January 1954 to January 1956. He was stationed at Fort Riley, Kan. and Fort Lewis, Wash. After his discharge from the Army, he was employed in construction work in Northeast Nebraska until his illness. He was baptized in 1944 at the age of 10 years and became a member of the Creighton Methodist Church in 1953. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Elwood of Creighton; three brothers, Kenneth of Plainview, Richard, his twin, and Marvin Jr., both of Creighton and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Elwood of Creighton. Relatives attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Baker of Sioux City, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Francis Ladenburg of Morse Bluffs; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Carlsen, Keith Carlsen and Alan Carlsen of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Beesmer and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ober, Connie and Randy of Plainview; Mrs. Minnie Watt and Mrs. Pearl Anders of Norfolk; Mrs. Margaret Ball and Dale Wright of Lost Springs, Wyo.; Joan Wintermont of Douglas, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bloomquist of Spalding; Mr. and Mrs. Wilburn Crumley, Mrs. Crumley and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Danielski of Monroe.
