Description	:	Roberta A. McNay, 89, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2011, at Via Christi Hospital, Pittsburg. She was born March 20, 1921, at Liberal, KS, to Robert W. and Jesse (Everett) Vogt. Shortly after graduating from Kansas State University, she began teaching high school in Wamego, KS, when she met her future husband. She married John G. McNay on July 16, 1947, at Tribune, KS. Read More	Roberta A. McNay, 89, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2011, at Via Christi Hospital, Pittsburg. She was born March 20, 1921, at Liberal, KS, to Robert W. and Jesse (Everett) Vogt. Shortly after graduating from Kansas State University, she began teaching high school in Wamego, KS, when she met her future husband. She married John G. McNay on July 16, 1947, at Tribune, KS. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1988. John and Roberta moved to Topeka after they married and started a family. The family moved to Pittsburg in June of 1965. Since that time, she has been active in many civic and service organizations throughout the community. Survivors include four children: J. Robert and his wife, Amy, Mark E. and his wife, Nancy, Chris C. and his wife, Dawn and Mary Million and her husband, Mark. She also has five grandchildren: Whitney and her husband, Jeff, J.W., Emma, Alex and Kevin and one great-grandchild, Wesley. She is also survived by brothers, Robert E. Vogt and his wife, Laura, Frank Russell, Bruce Vogt and his wife, Sue, one sister, Bertha Vogt and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Elton Russell and Harmon Vogt and one sister, Ruth Marie Vogt. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday (January 5) at The Presbyterian Church of Pittsburg, with Reverend K.O. Noonoo, officiating. Private burial will be held in the Highland Park Cemetery, Pittsburg. Friends may call at the Brenner Mortuary to sign the register book from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday. The family suggests memorials be given to The Presbyterian Church, Mount Carmel Foundation or one of her scholarships at Pittsburg State University in the Department of Business, Department of Education, or the Department of Music.
