Description	:	Roberta Ann Newlon Aley, age 54, went to join her husband in heaven on Friday, November 6, 2009. Roberta was born to Ira and Helen Ray Newlon on December 1, 1954 in Maryville, MO. and was a graduate of Maryville R-II High School. On May 14, 1973 she married her best friend, Robert Aley in Troy, Kansas and they were married 31 years before he passed away in January 2004. Read More	Roberta Ann Newlon Aley, age 54, went to join her husband in heaven on Friday, November 6, 2009. Roberta was born to Ira and Helen Ray Newlon on December 1, 1954 in Maryville, MO. and was a graduate of Maryville R-II High School. On May 14, 1973 she married her best friend, Robert Aley in Troy, Kansas and they were married 31 years before he passed away in January 2004. Together they were blessed with four children; Angela and Darren Clements, James and Kristen Aley, Jonathan Aley and Justin Aley, all of Maryville. Roberta loved to tell anyone who would listen about her grandchildren; Bradie, Blake and Benjamin Clements, Spencer Aley and Emma and Mya Aley. Also left behind to forever miss her are her siblings; Dorothy Henggeler and Iris Ditamore, Ravenwood, Mo., Larry Newlon, Hubbard, Iowa, Robert Newlon, Chandler, N. C., Maurice Newlon, Cameron, MO.; and half siblings; Marjorie Hontz, Savannah, Mo. and Mary Ruth McDonald, Gower, Mo., and Carroll Newlon, St. Joseph, MO. Roberta had been the manager of Shop-n-Hop Convenience Store in Maryville for the past 23 years. She had come to know most of the customers by name and really enjoyed her time there. Roberta was a member of Laura Street Baptist Church in Maryville and felt as though many of the members were her extended family. Before her illness, Roberta had been actively involved in Freedom of the Road Riders, the 102 Valley Road Riders and as an SSM Hospice volunteer. Roberta cherished curling up in front of the fireplace on a cold evening, riding her Harley with Robert on a nice sunny day and watching her grandsons or the KC Chiefs play football on crisp fall afternoons, Roberta will most be remembered for the amazing life she shared with her four children. She truly was a remarkable daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother and friend. Although her family grieves with heavy hearts today, there will be peace knowing that Roberta is finally in the only place she ever wanted to be within arms reach of Robert. Burial: Miriam Cemetery, Maryville, Mo.
