Description	:	Roberta Anne "Bobbie" (Gibbs) Mattair, 91, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Coleman House in Northborough, MA. She was the wife of the late David Mattair, who died in 2013. Roberta worked as a secretary for the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co. in Boston for several years before her marriage in 1952. While in Boston she lived at the Franklin Square House with her sister Beverly. They loved this time in their lives. Read More	Roberta Anne "Bobbie" (Gibbs) Mattair, 91, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Coleman House in Northborough, MA. She was the wife of the late David Mattair, who died in 2013. Roberta worked as a secretary for the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co. in Boston for several years before her marriage in 1952. While in Boston she lived at the Franklin Square House with her sister Beverly. They loved this time in their lives. She was born October 16, 1929 in Farmington, NH, the daughter of the late Marshall F. and Bertha A (Littlefield) Gibbs, Sr. and was a graduate of Farmington High School, class of 1947. She raised her family in Sudbury, MA and had lived in Milton, NH for many years before moving to Uxbridge, MA in 2001. She and David and their family lived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in the early 1970's and she and David lived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 1981 to 1987. Bobbie was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Whitinsville, MA. She enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, bird watching, being outdoors and traveling. She is survived by a son, Dana D. and his wife Dawn (Clark) Mattair of Mendon, MA; a daughter, Lynne R. and her husband Richard Martel of Uxbridge, MA; a brother, Marshall F. and his wife Elaine (Tillinghast) Gibbs, Jr. of Farmington, NH; 4 grandchildren, Leah Martel, Brian Martel, Samantha (Mattair) and her husband Curtis Beyer, and Ethan Mattair; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters; Beverly J. Condylis in 1981 and Marcia F. Gorham in 2011. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to express their great appreciation to the staff at Coleman House Skilled Nursing in Northborough, MA for their compassionate care and kindness. Roberta will be buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington, NH at a later date. Funeral services will be private.
