She was born May 14, 1941, in Unity, the daughter of Allen and Velma (Shorey) MacDonald. She attended Besse High School in Albion. She married Harry Alexander Tobey in Albion on January 25, 1958. She was a member of South Somerville Baptist Church. She had been employed as a nursing assistant at Volmer Nursing in East Vassalboro and the Augusta and Gardiner General Hospitals. Read More	Albion – Roberta Arlene Tobey, 47, of China Road, died Sunday, November 6, 1988, at Waterville Osteopathic Hospital after a brief illness. She was born May 14, 1941, in Unity, the daughter of Allen and Velma (Shorey) MacDonald. She attended Besse High School in Albion. She married Harry Alexander Tobey in Albion on January 25, 1958. She was a member of South Somerville Baptist Church. She had been employed as a nursing assistant at Volmer Nursing in East Vassalboro and the Augusta and Gardiner General Hospitals. She had also been employed as a psychiatric aide at Augusta State Hospital. Survivors include her husband and mother, both of Albion; maternal grandmother, Manilla Shorey of Bristol, R. I.; four sons, Harry A. Tobey Jr. of Albion, Charles A. Tobey of McChord A.F.B. of Washington, Carl A. Tobey of Italy and Warren A. Tobey of Albion; one daughter, Julie Ann Lewis of Albion; two brothers, Norman and James MacDonald, both of Albion; six sisters, Sharon Grove and Kathy O'Clair both of Germany, Sandra Flye and Rose Edell, both of Albion, Sheila Campbell of Burnham and Susie McArthur of Fairfield; four grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. One son, Ricky A. Tobey, died in 1961. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 Tuesday at Gray and Pratt Funeral Home in Windsor where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow at Pond Cemetery in Unity. (Published in the Waterville Morning Sentinel)
