She was born Jan 5, 1921 in Saco, Montana, a daughter of Charles Robert Buffington and Allillian A. Hoffman Buffington. On Aug 14, 1948, she married Philip C Reuter at St. Anthony's Church in Glasgow, MT. Mr. Reuter died in Jun, 1975. In 1943, Buffy graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT with a B.S. degree in Business Studies and minors in Business, Spanish and History. She began her teaching career in Terry, MT followed by four year in Fairview, MT where she taught Spanish and business classes. In 1961, she returned to teaching in Medicine Lake, MT, where she retired in 1987. She was a member of the Montana and National Associations of Education. In 1971, she became a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. During her 47 years in Medicine Lake, she was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where she served in various offices of Altar Society. She also dedicated 25 years to working with cancer charities in Montana. In 1990, Buffy moved to Sedalia, MO to be near her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. There she found a very happy second home. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, participated in Bible study, Sorosis, Sedalia Study and Garden Club, and Chapter B.B. of P.E.O. where she held various offices. In 1995, she joined the Pettis County American Cancer Society, where she served ten years as the "Memorial Chairperson", a project that became very near and dear to her heart. She also loved spending time playing Bridge, Pinochle, Mah Jong and Pitch. She is pre-deceased by a son, Lauren Reuter, in 1979. Also deceased are four sisters, Evelyn Alcorn, Peggy Mermis, Jo Ann Wells, and Ruby Kurtz, as well as three brothers, Don Buffington, Charles Buffington, and Kenneth Buffington. She is survived by her daughter, Rochelle "Shelley" Wuellner and son-in-law, Dr David Wuellner; four grandchildren, Luke Wuellner, San Diego, Mark (Maggie) Wuellner, Cincinnati, Abigail Wuellner, St Louis, and Adam Wuellner, Chicago.
