Description	:	Roberta Rieman Hastings Britton, 81, of Selma, Ala., formerly of Center Square and Lawrenceburg, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at Park Place Nursing Home in Selma, Ala. She was born July 22, 1927, in Switzerland County, the daughter of Howard and Elma Dunning Rieman. She was a 1945 graduate of Vevay High School and a member of Center Square Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Center Square Homemakers Club and was active in the Switzerland County 4-H. She and her first husband farmed at the family farm at Center Square. Read More	Roberta Rieman Hastings Britton, 81, of Selma, Ala., formerly of Center Square and Lawrenceburg, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at Park Place Nursing Home in Selma, Ala. She was born July 22, 1927, in Switzerland County, the daughter of Howard and Elma Dunning Rieman. She was a 1945 graduate of Vevay High School and a member of Center Square Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Center Square Homemakers Club and was active in the Switzerland County 4-H. She and her first husband farmed at the family farm at Center Square. She was also employed at WMGH Radio in the billing department for several years. She served as the caregiver for her mother and her first husband's mother. She enjoyed gardening and reading. She is survived by one son, Dawson Hastings of Selma, Ala.; one daughter, Gay Felch of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Lucille Bunger of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Leland "Dick" Rieman of Charleston, W.Va.; five grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and the children and grandchildren of James Hubert "Jim" Britton. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Amos Dennis Hastings, whom she married Dec. 24, 1944, and who died July 30, 1976; her second husband, James Hubert "Jim" Britton Jr., whom she married Jan. 5, 1985, and who died Feb. 12, 2002; one son, Dennis Hastings, who died April 19, 1980; her parents; three brothers, Darrell Rieman, Dale Rieman and Wilbur "Gus" Rieman; and one nephew. The funeral was at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial was in Vevay Cemetery. Madison Courier 1/27/09
