Description	:	Rochus Wolf was born on January 26, 1820 in Rollbach, Miltenberg, Bavaria. He immigrated to the United States in 1842 (or 1849), settling first in Baltimore City and later in Oakland, Maryland where he worked as an expressman and carpenter. He married Maria Kunigunda Heinlein (b. 1818 in Alsace-Lorraine) and they had four children: John A. Wolfe (1850-?) Amelia Anna Wolf Seidel (1855-1921) Theresa Wolfe (1858-?) Read More	Rochus Wolf was born on January 26, 1820 in Rollbach, Miltenberg, Bavaria. He immigrated to the United States in 1842 (or 1849), settling first in Baltimore City and later in Oakland, Maryland where he worked as an expressman and carpenter. Fredolen Uranus Wolf (1860-1933) Rochus and his wife lived in Baltimore City, Maryland and his occupation was carpenter. In March 1852, Rochus enlisted in a U.S. Army ordnance regiment as a carriage maker with the Pikesville Arsenal in Pikesville, Maryland and was discharged two years later on March 31, 1854. In probably the late 1860s Rochus and his family moved to Oakland, Maryland in Garrett County where they lived on Oak Street. He was a resident for more than forty years. Rochus died at age 88 on April 5, 1910 at his oldest son John's home in Oakland. His funeral was held on Tuesday April 7th at St. Peter's Catholic Church where he was a life-long member. He is buried besides his wife Maria, who predeceased him by twenty years, in Oakland Cemetery, Oakland, Maryland.
