Description	:	Obituary Rodger P. "RP" Brown, 84, of Tangier, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021, at this residence. Born January 27, 1937, at home, he was the son of Thomas K. and Eunice (Hadley) Brown. Rodger was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Marjorie J. (McCoy) Brown. They were married August 24, 1958. She passed away April 4, 2020. Rodger was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Marjorie J. (McCoy) Brown. They were married August 24, 1958. She passed away April 4, 2020. Rodger was a Deacon and member of Countryside Baptist church, a graduate of Tangier High School and Purdue University Engineering/ Agronomy. He was a farmer, a truckdriver for Gene's Farm Supply, mechanic at JI Case and RCN Rebuilt Products. He retired from Wabash Valley Asphalt and then worked part time at John Deere Implement. He enjoyed his family and friends and Purdue University (Culture Hall – Cut Worms) Buddies: Don Whitaker of Ohio, Richard O. Crum of Indianapolis, Bill Davis of Princeton, and Richard Allen of Indianapolis. Other survivors include his son, Brian P. Brown of Tangier; daughter, Laura J. Brown of Tangier; grandchildren, Steve Lientz of Colorado, Jeremy Brown of Tangier, Kelly (Brad) Thompson of Tangier, Rusty P. Brown (Kaymi) of Colorado; and great-grandchildren, Brent of Colorado, Ben, and Bird of Tangier; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rodger was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Shirley Mark Brown; sister, Hannah J. Brown; and daughter-in-law, Kimberly A. Brown. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 27th, 11:00 a.m. at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, 111 E. High Street, Rockville, with Pastor Tim Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Countryside Baptist Church, 25 W 1200 N, Kingman, IN 47952.
