Description	:	Rodney Dean Bohaty December 23, 1953 ~ July 16, 2016 Rodney Dean Bohaty was born December 23, 1953 in Friend, Nebraska, the son of Jerry and Geraldine (Krasser) Bohaty, the youngest of five children. After suffering a serious stroke, Rodney passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 62 years, 6 months. Read More	Rodney Dean Bohaty December 23, 1953 ~ July 16, 2016 Rodney Dean Bohaty was born December 23, 1953 in Friend, Nebraska, the son of Jerry and Geraldine (Krasser) Bohaty, the youngest of five children. After suffering a serious stroke, Rodney passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 62 years, 6 months. The fifth of five children, Rodney spent his younger years in Beaver Crossing attending elementary school and the first two years of High School before transferring to Centennial High School after consolidation in 1967 where he graduated in 1971. His early years were spent assisting his family with farming and the family hardware business, in addition to various jobs in Seward and the Lincoln area. Rodney’s residence throughout most of his adult life was in Lincoln, where he suffered with chronic health issues. Nevertheless, he maintained an interest in automobiles and motorcycles and enjoyed woodworking. Rodney never lost faith in God and took Christ into his life as his Savior at an early age. Rodney is survived by: two sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and D. Chris Benner, and Betty and Byron McCormick; brothers and sisters-in-law, Russell and Jennie Bohaty, Jerry and Judy Bohaty; aunts, Delores Scott and Geraldine Rut; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Geraldine (Krasser) Bohaty, who were life-long members of Beaver Crossing United Methodist Church. Graveside Service on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Beaver Crossing Cemetery, Beaver Crossing, Nebraska. Obituary information from Lauber-Moore Funeral Home.
