Rodney was born November 3, 1935 at Howard, SD to Oscar and Helen (Knowles) Faller. He lived in Howard with his family until he was 10 years old, at which time the family moved to Canova, SD. Faller, 76, of Sioux Falls, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at residence. Rodney was born November 3, 1935 at Howard, SD to Oscar and Helen (Knowles) Faller. He lived in Howard with his family until he was 10 years old, at which time the family moved to Canova, SD. He graduated from high school in Canova. In January of 1954, he entered military service, serving in the US Air Force. He received his honorable discharge in July of 1955. Rodney returned to South Dakota where he was a self-employed wheel and brake mechanic. He retired in 1981. Rodney moved to Sioux Falls in 1987. On March 26, 1994, he was united in marriage with Donna J. Anderson in Sioux Falls. The couple continued to make their home in Sioux Falls until the time of his death. Rodney enjoyed playing his Hawaiian steel guitar and sometimes played and sang at the Veterans Administration Chapel. He also enjoyed playing in pool tournaments at the American Legion. He had a hobby of buying, selling and repairing old toy cars and trucks. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Donna, of Sioux Falls; one daughter, Julie Ann Boone of Grand Junction, CO; one son, Michael Lawrence (Anita) Flowers, of Palm Harbor Florida; 3 grandchildren; and 1 step grandchild. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Lillian Lauer, Velma Ruste and Dorothy Mikel; and his brothers, Merle J. Faller and Kenneth E. Faller.
