Description	:	Roger "Gouge" Campbell, age 64, of Deloit, Iowa, passed away at his home on Monday, November 30, 2009. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 4th, at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Wall Lake. Burial was at the Wall Lake Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home. Born on January 16, 1945, in Carroll, Iowa, the son of William E. and Elsie A. (Koenck) Campbell. Read More	Roger "Gouge" Campbell, age 64, of Deloit, Iowa, passed away at his home on Monday, November 30, 2009. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 4th, at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Wall Lake. Burial was at the Wall Lake Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home. Born on January 16, 1945, in Carroll, Iowa, the son of William E. and Elsie A. (Koenck) Campbell. He grew up in the Wall Lake area graduating from Wall Lake High School in 1963. Following graduation Roger enlisted in the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. After his return home from duty, he met and married Cheryl Lynn DeNio on December 14, 1968 in Rowley, Iowa. Together they lived in Avoca, Hancock, and Denison area, including Kiron and Herring with their children Angela and Stephen. The last 15 years they lived in rural Deloit where they operated the Country Pumpkin until his retirement in April of 2008. Gouge loved the outdoors; going hunting, fishing, trapping, and working in his garden. He also enjoyed watching football and baseball games. But more than any of these, his family was always very important to him. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife Cheryl Lynn Campbell; son Stephen Ray Campbell and wife Rosanna; four grandchildren: Cruise, Aiden, Kalib and Tatiana; sisters Marilyn (Arnie) Grote and Sharon Richardson; extended family members; and many friends. Gouge was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Angela Marie Campbell; and brother William Campbell.
