Description	:	Bryson City - Roger Clyde DeHart, 66, of the Shepherd's Creek community, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at his residence. A native of Swain County, he was the son of Bertha Rickman DeHart of Bryson City and the late Clyde DeHart, who died in 1997. He was the owner/operator of Swain Electric Co. for many years and recently was the owner of DeHart Electric. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. Read More	Bryson City - Roger Clyde DeHart, 66, of the Shepherd's Creek community, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at his residence. A native of Swain County, he was the son of Bertha Rickman DeHart of Bryson City and the late Clyde DeHart, who died in 1997. He was the owner/operator of Swain Electric Co. for many years and recently was the owner of DeHart Electric. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Bryson City United Methodist Church. He served on the board of directors for First Citizen Bank since 1972. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Betty Gossett DeHart; daughter, Sara DeHart Weaver and husband, Michael of Monroe, Ga.; stepson, Mac Gossett and wife, Renee of Asheville; grandsons, Josh and Tyler; two brothers, Raymond DeHart of Bryson City and Clifford DeHart of Bryson City; and sister, Dot Cordell of Candler. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. The Rev. David Russell and Victor Green will officiate, with burial in Swain Memorial Park. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Blake Allman, Tom Lance, Terry Fortner, Kevin Allmar, Don Clough and Ed Gibson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 5950 Fairview Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28210 or Angel Hospice, 268 Hwy. 19 S., STE3, Bryson City, NC 28713.
