Description	:	Roger Dean Briss, 67, passed away after his battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in the Ryan House Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, AZ. Roger was born in Cooperstown, ND on December 8, 1947, the son of Robert and Alice Briss. Roger graduated from Glenfield High School in 1965. Roger enlisted with the US Army in November of 1967. SP4 E4 - Infantryman, Roger was stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington, then assigned overseas post Korean War under Army Pacific Command with the 70th Trans Battalion-Eighth Army. Roger was born in Cooperstown, ND on December 8, 1947, the son of Robert and Alice Briss. Roger graduated from Glenfield High School in 1965. Roger enlisted with the US Army in November of 1967. Duties involved ground combat in Alliance with South Korea. He returned from overseas in June of 1969 and continued his service with the US Army Reserves in St. Louis, Missouri. His final obligation was November of 1973. Roger returned to North Dakota and resided in Fargo where he repaired and re-built motorcycles. He also ran his own used car lot and body shop. He then moved to Arizona in 1988 where he continued to work on motorcycle and car repairs and auto detailing. Roger worked for years owning a landscaping business and managed a night club. Roger’s passion war Harley Davidson Cycles and riding. Roger is survived by his sister Marilyn (Duane) Johnson, Waterville, daughter; Deb (Johnny) Mercil of Rockford, MN, son, Shawn Briss of Fargo, ND, daughter; Candi Schumacher of Prior Lake, MN, and daughter, Bobbi Jo Briss of Mesa, Arizona. He is also survived by six grandchildren. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alice Briss. Graveside Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Glenfield Cemetery, Glenfield, ND.
