Description	:	Roger Harrington of Ashton, died Saturday afternoon in a tractor accident near his farm in the Ashton area. He was 29 years, 6 months, and 4 days. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 21, 1991, at 10:30 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Loup City with Reve. Leon Zimmerman officiating. Music was provided by Wilma Cook with the Immanuel Luther Church Choir singing, "A Faithful Shephard in My Lord" and "How Great Thou Art." Visitation was held Tuesday, from 1 and 9 p.m. at the Loup City Memorial Funeral Home. Roger Dean Harrington was born at Loup City, Feb 11, 1962, to Robert and Margy Petersen Harrington. He grew up and received his education at Loup City Public Schools, graduating in 1980. He attended Kearney State College for two years. He worked for Monforts for four years. He married Kimberly Treffer on Sept. 29, 1984 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Loup City. They made their home on a farm near Ashton. Roger farmed with Leo and Phyllis Treffer until death. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Lutheran choir, the Voters Assembly, and the Sherman County Bank softball team. Survivors include his wife, Kim of Ashton, two sons, Brandon and Bryce, both at home, his parents, Bob and Margy Harrington of Loup City, Kim's parents, Leo and Phyllis Treffer of Ashton; three brothers, Dick of Loup City, Dave of St. Paul, and Kirk of Petersburg; his paternal grandmother, Violet Harrington of Gothenburg, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lila and Lloyd Petersen and his paternal grandfather, Robert Harrington. Sherman County Times, Loup City, NE - August 22, 1991
