Born on November 25, 1921 in Pinkney's Point. Roger was a fisherman all his life and his passion in later years was going out with his nephew, Wayne, for his spring lobster fishing day. Read More	Roger Desire Saulnier (November 25, 1921 - July 14, 2010 ) SAULNIER, Roger Desire - 88, passed away peacefully at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Born on November 25, 1921 in Pinkney's Point. Roger was a fisherman all his life and his passion in later years was going out with his nephew, Wayne, for his spring lobster fishing day. He was also an avid deer and duck hunter spending many tranquil hours enjoying this pastime he so loved. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Madeline (Melanson) Saulnier, daughter Cathy, sisters Alice, Magdeline and brothers Harvey, Michel, Leonard, Albenie and Delbert. Roger leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Marion; son Clinton (Arlene); daughters Deborah (Ron) Nemeth, Connie (Cindy) Saulnier; son-in-law David (Wendy) Porter and granddaughters Jody, Nicole, Jessica and Julie, and great grandsons Sawyer and Kole, brother Ernest and sisters Adele Saulnier, Louella LeBlanc and Gertrude Deviller. The family is very thankful for the compassion and kindness shown by doctors and staff at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital who made such a difficult time so much easier. Also a special thank you for the Yarmouth Branch of VON for the special care they gave him over the years. Visitation took place at Huskilson's Funeral Home in Yarmouth on Friday, July 16, 2010 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral service was held on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 11 am at St Raphael's Church in Pinkney's Point, Father Wieslaw Papuga and Msgr. Gerald LeBlanc officiated. Internment followed in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Yarmouth Branch of Victoria Order of Nurses or to a charity of your choice.
