He was born March 29, 1928, on the family farm south of Tingley, Iowa to Herschel and Macelle Steinkamp Morrison. He attended Eighme #9 country school until January 1941 and graduated from Tingley High School in 1945. He attended the Tingley Christian Church and was baptized there as a youngster. Read More	Roger Earl Morrison, 82, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011, at the Ringgold County Hospital. He was born March 29, 1928, on the family farm south of Tingley, Iowa to Herschel and Macelle Steinkamp Morrison. He attended Eighme #9 country school until January 1941 and graduated from Tingley High School in 1945. He attended the Tingley Christian Church and was baptized there as a youngster. He was active in 4-H. In December 1950, he joined the army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. On February 14, 1954, he married Donna Joyce Ferguson at her family home in Tingley. To this union three children were born, John Roger, Rebecca Rae and Lori Denise. Roger was a farmer and a rural mail carrier. He enjoyed driving teams of ponies and mules in area parades and always had a joke or story to tell. He enjoyed going to Texas in the winter. He attended the Iowa State Fair every year beginning as a child. He was an avid high school girls softball fan and had tickets to Iowa State football games for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents Herschel and Macelle.
