Read More	Son of Herman and Vida (Slack) Daling Husband of Mary Dickinson Father of Mike, Tom, Dan, Phil, Pat, David and Betsey Roger "Dutch" Ellis Daling Richland, WA Roger "Dutch" Ellis Daling was born in 1925, to Herman and Vida (Slack) Daling. He grew up near Waterville in Douglas County, WA, graduating from high school in 1943. He married Mary Ellen Dickinson of Kennewick in 1949. He served in the Marine Corps for a short time at the end of World War II and during the Korean War. He graduated from Washington State College in 1950, with a degree in mechanical engineering. After the War he worked for various companies at Hanford, living in Richland, WA. Roger was active in the American Legion, Boy Scouts, youth sports and West Side Church. After retirement, he and Mary Ellen were able to travel around the US and Europe with their children. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Merle. Roger is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; sons, Mike (Kay) of Silverdale, Tom of Anchorage, AK, Dan of Port Orchard, Phil (Cindy) of Richland, Pat (Diana) of Bremerton, Dave of Richland; and daughter, Betsy of Federal Way; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Dick (Shirley) of Waterville; and sister, Shirley (Jess Davis) of Pullman. Viewing will be Thursday, June 21, 2007, 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union St., Kennewick, WA. Services will be Friday, June 22, 2007, 2:00 p.m. at West Side Church, 615 Wright St., Richland, WA. Memorial gifts may be made to Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice, 2108 W. Entiat, Kennewick, WA 99336.
