Description	:	He was raised by his grandparents, Sarah and Albert Conant of Littleton, he graduated from Littleton High School and Wentworth Institute. He was employed by B.F. Sturdivant, Atna Engineering, Raytheon, and Conant Machine & Steel Co., of West Concord, as vice president. He was married on July 21, 1934, to Isobel Boutelle of Milford, N.H. He served as vice president of the Concord Board of Trade, was trustee and deacon of the West Concord Union Church, where he also taught Sunday School, and was a charter member of both the Concord Lions Club and the Littleton Lions Club. Sturdivant, Atna Engineering, Raytheon, and Conant Machine & Steel Co., of West Concord, as vice president. He was married on July 21, 1934, to Isobel Boutelle of Milford, N.H. He served as vice president of the Concord Board of Trade, was trustee and deacon of the West Concord Union Church, where he also taught Sunday School, and was a charter member of both the Concord Lions Club and the Littleton Lions Club. During World War II he was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary as machinist mate and was a deputy air raid warden. A former Eagle Scout, he worked with the Boy Scouts of America for 24 years and was skipper of the Concord Sea Scouts. Roger and Isobel moved to Littleton in 1946 to start the Conant Iron Works Company. He was a member of the Littleton Congregational Church, where he was a trustee, deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a conservationist. He and Isobel gave Conant Park to the town of Littleton. He was a life member of the Littleton Conservation Trust and served as selectman for the town from 1949 to 1958. An avid horseman, he was a member of numerous organizations: The National Lancers, Cross-State Trail Riders, Littleton Horse Owners Association, New Hampshire Horse and Trail Association, New England Horse Owners Association, Derry N.H. Trail Riders, North County Riding and Driving Club, Harvard Horse Association and the Westford Horse Owners Association. He represented various clubs at the Mass. Department of Environmental Management working to preserve trails. He is predeceased by his wife, Isobel. He is survived by his children, Joyce Estelle Lovejoy and her husband, Peter Lovejoy, of New Boston, N.H.; Edna May Meserve and her husband, Albert Meserve, of Raynham, Mass.; Roger Conant and his wife, Linda, of Cumming, Ga.; seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
