Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of the late Anita Wright Echoles and son of the late Horace Echoles and Marie McAbee Echoles. He was formerly employed by Hamricks, Inc. and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are two sons, Joshua Echoles and Justin Echoles, both of Gaffney; a daughter, Alanda Echoles of Gaffney; two brothers, David Echoles and Jimmy Ray McAbee, both of Gaffney; three sisters, Dora Hamrick, JoAnn McAbee and Lisa Mullinax, all of Gaffney; seven grandchildren, Tyler Echoles, Daniel Echoles, Jeremy Echoles, Adam Echoles, Austin Echoles, Cassidy Echoles and Brandon Bell; two great-grandchildren, Ava Crocker and Aubrey Crocker. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ben Echoles and Theodore Echoles, and a sister, Katie Echoles. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2018 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Garner officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
