Description	:	Roger Moser Roger Jacob "Rod" Moser, 89, of Wapello died Sunday, March 28, 2010, at his home. Born Feb. 3, 1921, in Hancock, Minn., he was the son of Philip and Bertha Massner Moser. On March 28, 1947, he married May Miller in Pulaski. She died Feb. 28, 1975. On Nov. 12, 1978, he married Naomi Sutter Heimer in Taylor, Mo. She died March 4, 1994. Read More	Roger Moser Roger Jacob "Rod" Moser, 89, of Wapello died Sunday, March 28, 2010, at his home. Born Feb. 3, 1921, in Hancock, Minn., he was the son of Philip and Bertha Massner Moser. On March 28, 1947, he married May Miller in Pulaski. She died Feb. 28, 1975. On Nov. 12, 1978, he married Naomi Sutter Heimer in Taylor, Mo. She died March 4, 1994. On June 19, 1995, he married Ruth Butikofer Cottrell in Quincy, Ill. Mr. Moser farmed in the Morning Sun/Wapello area until 2004. He lived for a few years in Taylor. He served with 4-H and FFA. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Wapello where he taught Sunday school and enjoyed the several mission trips he was involved with. He enjoyed winters and fishing, in Florida. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Andy Moser of Kouts, Ind., and Larry Moser of Wapello; one daughter, Pam Hodel of Laos; 10 stepchildren, Stan Heimer, Debbie Barkley, Kent Heimer, Rodney Heimer, Mary Beth Hastings, Curtis Heimer, Bill Cottrell, Susanne Logan, Sandra Cramer and Tom Cottrell; 47 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one brother, Arnie Moser of Greenville, S.C.; and three sisters, Beulah Ehnle of Princeville, Ill., Marvel Knobloch of Tremont, Ill., and Jeanie Haerr of Cape Coral, Fla. Besides his two wives, he was preceded in death by one son, one stepson, his parents, two sisters and two brothers, one in infancy. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral for Mr. Moser will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Solid Rock Baptist Church in Wapello with Dan Doolin officiating. Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery, rural Oakville. Memorials have been established for Solid Rock Baptist Church and Great River Hospice.
