Padgett of Coats, Teresa Allen and husband , Ken of Angier, Vickie Williams and husband, Johnny of Raleigh, a sister, Peggy D. Woodruff of Mount Airy, 18 grandchildren,12 great grand children and several neices and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was held 1pm, Monday May 5, 2008 at St. Michael Archangel Catholic Church, 804 High House Road , Cary, NC. Burial was at Raleigh Memorial Park, Raleigh,NC Though he came into our lives after we were grown, he fit like a glove in our family. All we had desired from him was that he love our mother in the way that she deserved and he treat her with kindness,loyalty and respect. What we got was so much more, the love that we were able to receive from him is something that no amount of money could ever buy. The smiles, laughter, tears,joy and even a couple of good jokes was something we enjoyed sharing with him and those memories we will carry with us forever. He was not thought of as a step parent someone our mother married:he was her husband, our father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was the light of our family's lives. He brought us so much joy and happiness . He will be forever missed but never forgotten and in our hearts forever.....
