Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Minden Cemetery with the Rev. Donald Hunzeker officiating Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his daughters, Trish Schippert and her husband, Mark, of Minden, Jackie Eickmeier and her husband, Rick, of Kearney and Lynn Kuehn and her fiancé, Bryce Kneeland, of Minden; son, Roger “J.R.” Bell and his wife, Heather, of Kearney; grandchildren, Brandon and wife Jackilyn, Jessie, Richard, Terrance, Ayrton and wife Lindsay, Trevor, Jake, Grace and Joy; stepgrandchildren, Sam, Mark and Nick; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Christopher and KayLee; brothers, Bill Bell of Minden, Jim Bell and his wife, Ruth, of Houston and Linc Bell and his wife, Pat, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister, Carolyn Olson and her husband, Don, of Colorado Springs; and many nieces and nephews. He grew up in the Minden area and graduated from Minden High School in 1963. He and Carol lived in Minden. Roger worked for Burgess Well, Minden Beef, Bell Electric and later Wardcraft Homes, all in Minden. He retired in 2008. Roger enjoyed hunting and fishing, feeding and watching birds and squirrels. His favorite pastime was road tripping and his favorite food was cheese. Most of all, he loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; sisters in-law, Ruby Bell and Peggy Bell; and a grandniece.
