Description	:	Roger was born April 6, 1936, to Clarke and Suzanne (Fauver) Hall Sr. of Brooklyn, Iowa. He graduated from Brooklyn High School in 1954 and married Joan Marie Goodrich in the Brooklyn Presbyterian Church on June 1st of that same year. Roger began his farming career south of Brooklyn. In 1962, he and Joan purchased a farm northeast of Malcom. There they raised their two daughters and Roger continued to farm until his retirement in 2012. Read More	Roger was born April 6, 1936, to Clarke and Suzanne (Fauver) Hall Sr. of Brooklyn, Iowa. He graduated from Brooklyn High School in 1954 and married Joan Marie Goodrich in the Brooklyn Presbyterian Church on June 1st of that same year. Roger began his farming career south of Brooklyn. In 1962, he and Joan purchased a farm northeast of Malcom. There they raised their two daughters and Roger continued to farm until his retirement in 2012. In his early years, Roger enjoyed playing slow pitch softball, bowling on leagues in Montezuma and Brooklyn, playing golf, and going on fishing trips to Canada. A self-taught farmer, Roger took pride in building an Angus herd on his grain and livestock farm with his wife Joan and enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren, and others show cattle. He served on the Poweshiek County Fair board and was an active member of the Poweshiek County Angus Association, the Iowa and American Angus Associations, and Pork Producers. In his community, Roger served as a Malcom Township Trustee and as a member of the Brooklyn Housing Board. He was also a member of first the Brooklyn Presbyterian Church and later the Madison Church of Christ. Roger had a ready smile and loved to joke with everyone he encountered. In his later years his greatest love was his little dog Kirby, fixing up vintage tractors, participating in tractor rides, and visiting with neighbors at his Holiday Lake home. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents Elza and Margaret (Johnston) Hall, and Marion and Carl (Leech) Fauver, daughters Sheryl Siek and Carla Hall, and brother Clarke Hall Jr. Note: Survived by his sister, Mary Susan Hall Hartnell Ogata b. 1938 Contributor: G H Simmons (49782081) • [email protected])
