Roger was born May 11, 1927, the son of George and Alma (Crock) Moravek in rural Cedar County. He graduated from Tipton High School in 1945. On September 30, 1950, he married Violet Walshire in Lisbon. Roger worked as a technician for Rockwell Collins, retiring in 1958. He also farmed for many years in the Tipton area. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. He was an avid Ham Radio Operator and enjoyed many hobbies, including woodworking and stone polishing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion or Camp Courageous in Roger's memory.
