Roger graduated from St. Henry High School, St. Henry, Ohio, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, with active service in the Korean War from 1952-1954. Roger was a member of the St. Denis Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus-Council 1756, and a member of the American Legion Post #0435. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Jim Duell celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles with Military Honors conducted by the Versailles Veteran's Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles. The Knights of Columbus will have a rosary prayer service at 7:45 PM on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
