Rank*, 90, of Arma, died at 8:25 a.m. Monday, May 29, 2000, at her home. She was born Aug. 12, 1909, at Breezy Hill, to John and Kathleen Pinter Cerne. She was raised at Breezy Hill and attended Cockerill schools. She attended Kansas City, Mo., Beauty School. She worked for the Parsons Ammunition Plant. She also traveled for a period of time with her son and family in the ministry throughout the United States. She married Roger Rank on June 7, 1927, at Fort Scott. He preceded her in death Jan. 4, 1975. Mrs. Rank was a homemaker and was an Arma resident most of her life. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Roger John and Diana Rank of Arma, who provided for her care; two daughters, Carmen Ginardi of Pittsburg, and Velma Bogina of Lenexa; a sister, Rose Ann Cerne of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Harry Cerne of Pittsburg; eight grandchilren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Cerne, and five brothers, Fred Cerne, William Cerne, Albert Cerne, John Cerne and Charles Cerne. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Bedene Funeral Home, Arma, with the Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Bedene Chapel at Arma. Friends may call after 11 a.m. today at the chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, Arma.
