He was born March 15, 1926, in Dodge to Conrad and Mary (Peitzmeier) Eikmeier. He attended school at Sacred Heart Academy in Olean. He married Shirley Bohl on June 1, 1950, in Omaha. He was born March 15, 1926, in Dodge to Conrad and Mary (Peitzmeier) Eikmeier. He attended school at Sacred Heart Academy in Olean. He married Shirley Bohl on June 1, 1950, in Omaha. The couple then resided in Dodge. He worked for Dodge Implement for 20 years. The couple then moved to Norfolk in 1969. He then worked for Wimmer's Meats in West Point for 25 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Sacred Heart/St. Mary's Catholic Church in Norfolk. He also was a member of Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Order of Forresters. He was serving on the board of directors for Sub-Disrict 3 of the Natural Resources District. Survivors include: his wife; four daughters, Vicki Christos of Minneapolis, Kathy Eikmeier (and husband, Mike Essex) of Escondido, Calif., Barb (and husband, Larry Koenen) of Normal, Ill., and Linda (and husband, James Endersby) of Columbia, Mo.; a son, Ken Eikmeier of Lincoln; three brothers, Valerian (and wife, Coletta) Eikmeier of Dodge, Ralph (and wife, Doris) Eikmeier of Escondido and Clarence (and wife, Anna Mae) Eikmeier of Dodge; a sister, Doreen (Mrs. Kenneth) Uhing of West Point; two sisters-in-law, Marcella Eikmeier and Rosanne Eikmeier, both of Dodge; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and a son-in-law. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Norfolk with the Rev. Dermot Dunne officiating. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. today at the Home for Funerals in Norfolk and from 7-8 p.m. today at the church with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
