Michaud, 92, of Winslow, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Waterville. He was born Aug.18, 1914, in Waterville, the son of Peter and Josephine (LaVerdiere) Michaud, and educated in Waterville schools and graduated from Waterville High School.Roland owned and operated Michaud's Jewelry on Main Street in Waterville for more than 30 years. A member of St. John's Catholic Church, he and his wife, Germaine, were the oldest married couple in the parish celebrating 67 years this past June. Roland will be remembered as a loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who fondly remember him as an entertainer spending hours on end having fun with his family. He enjoyed company of many many friends and loved to travel with his wife throughout the United States. He especially enjoyed spending winters in Florida.Besides his parents, he was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters, Antoinette Bourque, Armand Michaud, Annette Delaware, Lorette Michaud, Larry Michaud, Donald Michaud, Raymond Michaud, and Rudolph Michaud.Surviving along with his loving wife, Germaine (Ayotte) Michaud of Winslow, are two loving children, Kenneth Michaud of Cape Elizabeth and Joyce Black and her husband, Michael, of Winslow; four grandchildren, Debbie Barry, Kevin Michaud, Wendy Levesque and Alicia Black; six great-grandchildren, David and Morgan Barry, Jacob and Kelsey Michaud, and Kevin and Jessica Levesque; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.(Morning Sentinel 2/20/2007)
