Description	:	Jay Plattner, 53, of Grand Pass, died Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Victory Christian Fellowship Church in Waverly. Born Aug. 15, 1952, in Waverly, he was the son of Rolla J. Plattner, who survives of Grand Pass, and the late Marie Oetting Plattner. On March 22, 1974, he married Pamela Kay Kemper, who survives of the home. He had lived in the Grand Pass community his entire life and was a farmer. He was a 1970 graduate of Santa Fe High School, a 1974 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia and a member of Alpha Gamma Sigma fraternity. He served on the Farm Bureau board of directors for 18 years, serving eight years as vice president. He was currently serving as a gubernatorial appointee on the MASBDA board and had served on numerous other boards and commissions. He was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship Church in Waverly. Additional survivors include one daughter, Tiffany Plattner Robinson and husband George of Baltimore, Maryland; two sons, Adam Gregory Plattner of Kansas City; and Aaron Richard Plattner of the home; three sisters, Joy Overacre and husband Roy of Columbia; Pat Kriss and husband Ron of Fountain Hills, Arizona; and Shelley Buford and husband Jeff of Alma; two brothers, David Plattner and wife Marilyn of Tampa, Florida; and Rodney Plattner and wife Debi of Kansas City; two grandchildren, Kemper Marie Robinson and Bennett MacKenzie Robinson; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
