Moved to Washington state in 1937 and joined the U.S. Navy; lived in California and Washington, moved to Pleasanton in 2001. Married: Sept. 2, 1964, to Margaret Kivlin in Alameda, Calif. She preceded him in death. Military: U.S. Navy, veteran of World War II from the bombing of Pearl Harbor on through the end of the war; served in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters, was a crew member of five combat ships cruising these waters; was also a merchant sailor on supply ships serving the Vietnam War; served on the Apollo Mission... Survivors include his son, Nicholas Pearson and his wife, Carol, of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter, Kathleen Dodge and her husband, Stan, of Phoenix; stepsons, Daniel Jones and his wife, Wanda, of Glencoe, Calif., and David Jones and his wife, Dianna, of Modesto, Calif.; stepdaughter, Mary Ann Jones of Pleasanton; sisters, Mabel Carns, Mary Ellen Mauler and Grace Mauler, all of Ferndale, Wash.; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
