Description	:	Rollin E. Ball, son of Edward and Martha Hayes Ball, was born June 5, 1867, near Barlow, Ohio, and passed away at the Decatur County hospital, April 16, 1945, at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 11 days. When a young man, he spent a year or two in the State of Washington, a few years at Tingley, Iowa, coming to Van Wert fifty years ago, where he has since lived continuously. Ball, son of Edward and Martha Hayes Ball, was born June 5, 1867, near Barlow, Ohio, and passed away at the Decatur County hospital, April 16, 1945, at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 11 days. When a young man, he spent a year or two in the State of Washington, a few years at Tingley, Iowa, coming to Van Wert fifty years ago, where he has since lived continuously. On October 17, 1901, he was united in marriage to Abbie A. Worden, of Weldon. One son was born to this union. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, and an only brother. He is survived by is devoted wife; his son, Ivan, of Grand Island, Nebraska; four grandchildren, one of whom is serving in the armed forces overseas; one great grandson; one niece and two nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. from the home with Minister Ruby I. Jones officiating. Everett Saylor with Mrs. Leonard Mallett at the piano, sang "Sometime We'll Understand" and "Under His Wing." Burial was in the Van Wert cemetery with Lamoree Funeral Service in charge.
