Worked as an Electronic Tech on Radar and computers, both analog and digital. Worked on a captured Russian Radar copy. Worked as a crew member of the Matador Missile program. Developed procedures and processes in all my military assignments. Discharged during the Viet Nam Era. Started at KSC during the Apollo Program through the Skylab. Took layoff and worked for the USPS starting in Jacksonville, Florida, then transferred to Pensacola, Florida. Promoted to Mgr of Plant Maintenance for all of the Florida Panhandle for the Mgmt Sectional Center in Pensacola. Returned to the Space program for the Shuttle program. Served in numerous duties and titles (QA Analyst, QA Mgr. Reliability Engineer, Product Specialist, Chairman Element Prime and Tile Boards, Support OPS Mgr. and final position as QE) for two separate companies. Retired after STS-135. Have been blest with many friends and honors as a result. Ron's favorite life quotes were 1. Do your best with a positive attitude, 2. Finish your job as complete as circumstances allow and 3. Strive to do your job correct the first time. A Celebration of Life was at Gateway Community Church of Titusville, Florida, on Saturday, June 29, 2019, with a meal reception to follow in the fellowship hall. Newcomer Cremation and Funeral Service oversaw arrangements. Memorials may be made in Ron’s honor via check or money order donations to the reenactment group for battlefield preservation: Indian River Camp 47, CSA, 4250 Alafaya Trail, Suite 212-320, Oviedo, FL 32765.
