Rollo Archie Christy was born Feb. 24, 1915, in Cambridge, the son of Freeman and Hazel (Ferguson) Christy. He was a 1932 graduate of Shipley High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Gail Voss on Jan. 13, 1945 in East Greenwich, R.I. She died on Jan. 30, 2000. He had been an aircraft builder and owned and operated Christy TV from 1953 to 1978. He had been a Nevada resident since 1948. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nevada, the William F. Ball American Legion No. 48, and the Nevada Masonic Lodge No. 99. He is survived by two daughters, Vicki Schnack of Memphis, Tenn., and Cali Smith of Nevada; one sister Barbara O'Dell of Wanetchee, Wash; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by two sisters and his wife. Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada is in charge of the arrangements.
