Description	:	Romaine E. (Kaltreider) Wagner, 90, passed away on March 16, 2017 at SpritTrust Lutheran Village at Utz Terrace in Hanover. She was the loving wife of Earl Wagner who passed away in 2007. Romaine was born in Heidelberg Township on May 3, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Vincent P. and Erma A. (Landis) Kaltreider. Romaine was born in Heidelberg Township on May 3, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Vincent P. and Erma A. (Landis) Kaltreider. She worked for the Spring Grove Area School District as the head cook at the elementary school for many years. Prior to that, she worked at the Pennsylvania Knitting Mill in Spring Grove. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson and Jefferson AARP. She was a former member of the Spring Grove Fire Co. Women's Auxiliary, Spring Grove Women's Democratic Club, Western York County Democratic Club, Spring Grove Senior Citizens Group, Spring Grove Historical and Preservation Society and The Viking Athletic Assoc., in York. She is survived by her son, Dennis L. Wagner and wife, Sandra of Spring Grove; her daughters, Irene A. Shaffer of Dover and Norma J.. Anstine and husband, Donald of York; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandson. She is also survived by her brothers, Mark Kaltreider; her sisters, Iva Shearer, Erma Senft, Virginia Jones and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Vincent, John, Kenneth, and David Kaltreider. A funeral service in celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6 York St., Jefferson PA with Rev. Sean Titus officiating. She will be laid to rest following the service next to her husband at Jefferson Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Family services are under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., of Spring Grove.
