Davey, retired Somerset County farmer, who died at his home in Manokin, in Fairmount District, Tuesday afternoon, were held at St. Stephens P. E. Church, in Fairmount, Thursday afternoon. Davey, retired Somerset County farmer, who died at his home in Manokin, in Fairmount District, Tuesday afternoon, were held at St. Stephens P. E. Church, in Fairmount, Thursday afternoon. Interment was in the church cemetery. The deceased, father of Mrs. Edna Davey Muir, termed the "Cinderella Princess" of the Eastern Shore by metropolitan newspapers, and her sister, Miss Ruth Davey, of Baltimore, was a prominent figure in the suit of relatives to break the will of the late Dr. E. E. Tull, who left the bulk of his fortune estimated at more than a million dollars, to the two Davey girls, whom he had adopted several years before his death. Mrs. Muir, one of the daughters now owns and resides on the vast Tull estate, at the head of the Wicomico Creek, while Miss Ruth Davey is a resident of Baltimore. Mr. Davey had been in poor health for the past few years and about a year ago was operated upon in the Peninsula General Hospital in Salisbury. He was 82 years of age and death is said to have been caused by Bright's disease. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eula Lawson Davey and two daughters, Mrs. Edna Davey Muir of Princess Anne, and Miss Ruth Davey, of Baltimore.
