Description	:	Ronald "Ron" A. Lindner, age 67, of Kranzburg, South Dakota, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at his residence. A funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 16, 2010 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kranzburg. Father Kenneth Koster will be the celebrant with Brian Ries as the organist, Erika Hoffman and Pete Mack as vocalists. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Catholic Order of Foresters. Ronald Aloysius Lindner, the son of Thomas and Agnes (Heyn) Lindner, was born April 20, 1943 in Watertown, South Dakota. He grew up in the Kranzburg area and attended Kranzburg School through the 8th grade. Ron married Gayle Groepper on May 2, 1970 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Watertown. During and after high school he worked several odd jobs, including working for Dr. Rokusek as a veterinary assistant, cooking at Jerry's Come Haan Inn for a short time, and some farming and working cattle for Manly Owen. Ron also worked in the office at the North Sale Barn in Watertown. He then took over the family farm with his brother David in 1964. He sold his milk cows in 2001 and retired from farming in 2003. He continued farming for Greg Gibson from 2006 until present. Ron was active on various community and agricultural boards. He was very active in the Holy Rosary Parish and a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. He enjoyed repairing old tractors and buildings around his farm. He also enjoyed going to threshing bees, auctions, and rodeos. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David; and his sister, Virginia Lindner. Ron is survived by his wife, Gayle of Kranzburg, SD; his children, Craig Lindner of Kranzburg, SD, Dana (Jamie) Lindner of Kranzburg, SD, Renee (Travis) Nelsen of Colton, SD, Shari (Austin) Eich of Sioux Falls, SD and Shelly Lindner of Kranzburg, SD; his brother, Don Lindner of Rapid City, SD; his sister, Armella (Don) Ries of Kranzburg, SD; his sister-in-law, Eileen Lindner of Kranzburg, SD; and three grandchildren, Charlotte and Elena Eich and Caleb Nelsen.
