Read More	Ronald Dean Miller was born August 12, 1941 in Winside, Nebraska to Jake and Alta Miller. He passed away on July 3, 2017 at his home in Lyons, Nebraska, at the age of 75 years. Ron was born and raised in Winside, where he grew up on a farm and attended high school. On January 13, 1962, Ron married Lois Heidemann at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pilger, NE. Ron and Lois had four children; Becky, Scott, Dennis and Ricky. They lived most of their lives in Lyons. Ron worked as a John Deere Mechanic for 25 years before starting his own shop, Miller Repair, in downtown Lyons. Working and fixing machinery for his friends and family was his passion; he enjoyed this work until his passing. Ron spent many weekends during his life camping and fishing throughout the Midwest. He also enjoyed tending to his gardens as a pastime, sharing his fruitions with family and friends. He continued to be an active member at Bethany Lutheran Church in Lyons. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois; young son, Ricky; his parents; brother, Roger. Survivors include daughter, Becky Redding of Navarre, FL; sons, Scott (Tammy) Miller of Millbury, MA; Dennis (Lorraine) Miller of Mapleton, IA; sister, Donna (Loren) Apfel of Norfolk, NE; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several treasured nieces and nephews.
