Breding, age 78, of Penn Valley, California, passed away on Aug. 22, 2013 at Hospice of the Foothills with family by his side, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Powers Lake, ND on 3/13/35 to Clarence and Agnes Breding. He was married to the love of his life, Ardell Mae (Knight) Breding on June 26, 1960. Breding, age 78, of Penn Valley, California, passed away on Aug. 22, 2013 at Hospice of the Foothills with family by his side, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Powers Lake, ND on 3/13/35 to Clarence and Agnes Breding. He was married to the love of his life, Ardell Mae (Knight) Breding on June 26, 1960. Ron graduated from PowersLakeHigh School in 1953. He went on to receive his B.S. from the University of North Dakota in 1957 where he was a member of the men's basketball team. Following graduation he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he also played basketball. In 1974 he received his M.A. from the University of Northern Colorado. Ron began his teaching career in North Dakota before moving to California in 1966 where he was a science and physical education teacher for MontereyPeninsulaUnifiedSchool District. After receiving his Master's degree in School Administration he became a school principal at Colton and KingMiddle Schools in Monterey. He retired in 1995. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Salinas and Shoreline Community Church of Monterey. Shortly after retirement, he and Ardell relocated to Penn Valley, California were he was an active member of TwinCitiesCommunityChurch. Ron was a dedicated Bible study leader throughout his years of church service. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Men's 9-Hole Golf Club in LakeWildwood. He took pleasure in camping with his RV groups, but his greatest love was spending time with family, especially his 10 grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Ardell Breding; his brother, Carter Breding of Williston, ND; his daughters, Jodi (Roy) Palassou, Rondel (Jeff) Premo, Susie (Ralph) Bozzo all of Salinas, CA; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Ron was preceded in death by his father and mother; his sister, Sheila Ehnes; and his brother, K. Gregory Breding.
