Don Swanson will officiate. Pallbearers are Brian Dieckman, Craig Dieckman, Peter Dieckman, Garry Claussen, Lou Ritter and Greg Wall. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church. Mr. Dieckman was born on Sept. 13, 1939, in Muscatine, the son of George H. and Ida F. Lick Dieckman. He married Connie L. Jamison on Sept. 24, 1960, in Muscatine. He retired from Monsanto in March 1994, after 27 years of employment. The next six years of his retirement he spent helping build the new facility for First Baptist Church. He was a life long resident of Muscatine and a member of First Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and time outdoors hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Brian and his wife, Martha, of Phoenix, Ariz., Craig and his wife, Leann, and Peter and fiance, Megan Bellinger, all of Muscatine; a daughter, Jane Claussen and her husband, Garry, of Muscatine; and four grandchildren, Nickolas Dieckman and his wife, April, in the U.S. Navy stationed in Iceland, Megan Dieckman, Colby and Ian Claussen, all of Muscatine; a great-grandson, Ethan Dieckman; and a mother-in-law, Florence Jamison of Muscatine. He was preceded in death by his parents and two granddaughters, Sara and Lauren Dieckman.
