Description	:	Ronald E. Kibby, 66, Marshalltown, formerly of Conrad, died Sunday, August 30, 2009, at Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 4, at the First Presbyterian Church in Conrad. Burial will be in the Conrad Cemetery. He was born March 7, 1943, the son of Ralph Eugene and Helen Marie (Gutmann) Kibby, in Audobon. He was raised in the Conrad area, graduating from Conrad High School in 1961. He was born March 7, 1943, the son of Ralph Eugene and Helen Marie (Gutmann) Kibby, in Audobon. He was raised in the Conrad area, graduating from Conrad High School in 1961. Ronald married Velma Schroeder on September 19, 1969, in Conrad. He did custom plowing for the area farmers, as well as employed with the family business, Kibby Service Company, later managing it after his fathers death. He was very involved with drag racing and tractor pulling in his younger years, as well as an avid golfer. He was a member of the Oakview Golf Course in Conrad. He was preceded in death by; his wife, Velma, his father, Ralph, and a sister, Karen Kay in infancy. He is survived by; his mother, Helen Kibby, Conrad, three daughters; Kim (Bill) Ross, Eldora, Robin Oaxaca, Tama, and Kelly (Scott) Doe, Melbourne, one brother; Mike Kibby, LeMars, two sisters; Marilyn (Willie)Wood, Spanaway, Wash., and Susan Kibby, Conrad, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Johnston Funeral Home, Conrad, is in charge of the arrangements.
