He is preceded in death by one brother Scotty Markham. He was a lifelong resident of Lake City, and a member of The First Advent Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, watching and attending the Jacksonville Jaguar football games, and working in the yard. Funeral services for Ron will be held on Friday August 28, 2015 at the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Fred Gaylard officiating. Interment will take place at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday August 27, 2015 at the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in Lieu of flowers family ask donations to be made to the First Advent Christian Church 1881 Southwest McFarlane Avenue Lake City, FL. 32025.
