Description	:	Ronald Estabrook September 28, 2013: Ronald James Estabrook, 64, of Fruitland, Iowa passed away Saturday September 28, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Funeral services will be held at 11:00A.M. on Thursday October 3, 2013 at the Ralph Riley Freers funeral home. Chaplain Vicki Pedersen of Lutheran Homes will officiate. Military Rites will be given immediately following the service at the funeral home. A time of food and fellowship will follow the service at the Fruitland Community Center. Ron was born on June 7, 1949 in Fort Riley, Kansas, the son of William Franklin Estabook and Pauline Mae (Warnstaff) Estabrook Murphy. He was a graduate of L-M High School. He was a veteran of United States Army having, served in Vietnam. Ron met Sheila Kurriger in 1980, and they were married on December 1, 2003 in Muscatine. Ron had worked for Bridgestone Bandag for thirty-nine years and was a volunteer for the Fruitland Fire Department. He enjoyed motorcycles, turkey hunting and he loved to watch racing of any kind. Ron and especially loved spending time with his family. Those left to honor his memory include his wife of twenty-three years, Sheila Estabrook Fruitland, Iowa; two sons, Chad Estabrook of Muscatine, Iowa and Matt Kruger of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Michelle Hogan (Kyle) of Wapello, Iowa; six grandchildren, Keisha Estabrook , Murphy Hogan, Eli Hogan, Levi Estabrook, Chris Kruger and Julie Kruger; his step father, Addison "Ike" Murphy of Muscatine, Iowa; three brothers, Richard "Dick" Estabrook (Connie) of Muscatine, Iowa, Roger Murphy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Mike Wakefield of Grandview, Iowa; four sisters, Becky Grimm of Shellsburg, Iowa, Brenda Gray (Chuck) of Rock Falls, Wisconsin, Marla Wakefied of Muscatine, Iowa and Lisa Munson (Ronnie) of Muscatine, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Todd Estabrook.
