Read More	Topeka Capital-Journal July 1, 2002 HOLTON -- Ronald Jay Bennett, 61, Leawood, formerly of Holton, died Friday, June 28, 2002, at a Kansas City, Mo., hospital. He had been ill. He was born Dec. 27, 1940, in Holton, to Marion and Dorothy Bennett. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Kansas State University in Manhattan in 1963. He moved to Kansas City in 1963 and worked for Commerce Bank and then was a salesman for International Business Machines. He later was business manager and director of development for Avila College. He entered the field of commercial real estate development with the Leo Eisenberg Co. He later became senior vice president of the company and received the commercial realtor associate of the year award in 1981. He later owned and operated the Ron Bennett Commercial Real Estate Management and Investment Co. for about 10 years. He and his wife, Jane, were married for 38 years. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Katherine Jane Bennett, Overland Park, and Elizabeth Ann Bennett, Kansas City, Mo.; and his mother, Dorothy Shaw Bennett, Holton. Private graveside services will be at Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Funeral Home in Overland Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Keith Worthington Chapter of the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association, 8340 Mission Road, Suite B4, Prairie Village, 66206.
