Description	:	RONALD JULIUS HOFMANN Ron was born on January 13, 1938, in Norfolk, the son of Fred and Viola (Nathan) Hofmann. He was baptized on February 14, 1938 at Battle Creek Heights and later was confirmed at St John Lutheran Church at Battle Creek. Read More	RONALD JULIUS HOFMANN Ron was born on January 13, 1938, in Norfolk, the son of Fred and Viola (Nathan) Hofmann. He was baptized on February 14, 1938 at Battle Creek Heights and later was confirmed at St John Lutheran Church at Battle Creek. Ron was raised on the family farm and graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1955. On December 29, 1957, Ron married Gertrude Ellen Neben at First Lutheran Church at Buffalo, Nebraska. To this union were born five children; Todd, Terry, Troy, Sandra (Bonner) and Tony. The couple farmed south of Battle Creek before moving to their farm north of Enola. Along with their farming buisness they operated a Grade A dairy from 1957 to 1991. Later they operated a cow-calf operation and also fed cattle. Ron served on the American Dairyman Board and served over 15 years on the Farm Credit Service. He was also a member of Christ Lutheran Church where he served as an usher. He enjoyed hunting, riding a motorcycle and four-wheeling with his children. Ron enjoyed team penning and sorting with his sons. He loved going to the Sandhills at Valentine to check cattle. He especially enjoyed riding through the sandhills and seeing the country and the views and all the wildlife. He also took great pride in his Quarter horses. Ron is survived by his wife of 51 years; their children and spouses, Todd Hofmann of Colorado, Troy and Brenda Hofmann of Raymond, Sandra and Kelvin Bonner of Lindsay and Tony Hofmann of Meadow Grove; their grandchildren, Travis Hofmann, Mari Bonner, Alex Bonner, Chantal Bonner, James Bonner, Karl Bonner and Shavon Bonner; his twin brother, Donald Hofmann of Norfolk; two sisters, Mildred and don Pracuner of Battle Creek and Marcella and Earl Renner of Grand Island. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons.
